According to Sky News, Gary Taylor from London, who owns Jackson’s online fan club has said that he was aware of at least 12 suicides following the performer’s death. “It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this, he would want them to live.”
As many as fifty callers seeking help from the suicide prevention hotline Lifeline Australia have told counselors that the singer’s death has left them severely depressed. “We have had some calls related to this,” said Lifeline CEO Dawn O’Neil. “In some cases, (a celebrity’s death) can be very distressing”
Talk about doing too much. We all loved him. I can personally tell you that as a child, in my mind, Michael was a pedophile because I was sure that we would be married by the time I was eight, but do you really think he’d want you to jump over a bridge over this? He wouldn’t. All we can do is regale in his music and legacy.
