Despite the rampant resurgence of audio atrocities, the musical gods have been good to us lately what with the return of Sade, and now, Mz. Badu is back and she’s brought Bilal and Weezy along for what will be the first of 10 versions of this record. New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh will be available 3.30 2010 A.D. (maybe, lol).

I used to think happiness was eating ice cream on my bed and watching Kanye snatch away awards from doe-eyed country singers, the way Bey used to snatch the wigs off Michelle’s head (that’s the way I’ve always imagined their pre-show rituals), but now I know better. I know what true happiness is (you mad Rev. Run?). True happiness is having a personal soundboard where I can hear Snooki say “lick my ass,” whenever I want to. Thanks for nothing Gandhi.
Discovering The xx was one of the best things to happen to me in 09. Their music is the stuff of dreams. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we’ll soon see a video for my favorite record off the album Heart Skipped a Beat. Please get into this if you love me!

Is it crazy that it still hasn’t quite hit home?
Even though the launch party for the new viral content site took place on December 8th, no footage of the performances ever surfaced, that is until today, when I spotted this over by the Young Kingz. Between “Speechless” and “Wonderful,” I don’t know which one I play more from Gaga’s latest labum The Fame Monster and whenever she does this live, I get a whole new appreciation for the record….even when she’s wearing drapes.

Tis a glorious day dear friends, new music from the incomparable Sade has descended from the musical heavens. The last time Sade had a new record out, I was still thoroughly convinced I would marry one of those Hanson boys and Lance Bass was trying to convince himself that he was straight. Ahhhh….the memories. Please get into this if it’s been a while since you’ve had an eargasm.
